With the publication of the special series of stamps for the electricity industry, Austrian Post recognizes a high-performance enterprise of the public sector, but also an energy form without which a higher civilization with its fundamentals of technology and economy would not exist. In particular, the high-voltage overhead power lines - regardless of the weather and in the most remote villages in Austria - always provide the required power. As power consumption has continued to increase over the last 50 years, the transfer voltage has been increased from initially 110,000 volts to 220,000 volts, and in some cases has already increased to 380,000 volts. The constant development of these high voltage power lines is very important, on the one hand to let our economy run smoothly and on the other hand to be able to preserve every modern Austrian the modern way of life.
