Museums and museum collections make it possible to engage with history and promote intergenerational dialogue. In a world that is becoming more and more complex, they serve social self-assurance and current positioning. These tasks are also the foundation of the House of History of the Federal Republic of Germany, which has been documenting German contemporary history since 1945 for a quarter of a century. On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, a stamp will be issued in June 2019, honoring the Foundation's achievements. At each of its four locations, she presents a permanent exhibition: "Our History: Germany since 1945" in Bonn, "Our History, Dictatorship and Democracy after 1945" in the Leipzig History Forum, "Tears Palace, the Place of German Division" and "Everyday Life in the GDR " in Berlin.
