The light SUV of the Austrian company Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG was developed in the years 1957 to 1959 in Graz and produced from 1959 to 1974 in Graz. The planned successor of the Haflinger, the H2, is today the worldwide estimated as the area car of military and private customers Puch or Mercedes G developed and built in Graz. It has been manufactured for 30 years with only small modifications. The big brother of the Haflinger of the Pinzgauer is produced in two and three axle versions with different superstructures.
