On January 1, 1957, the Saarland was incorporated into the Federal Republic of Germany and used here as OPD Saarbrücken, under the responsibility of the German Federal Post, to 5 July 1959 still own brands (Source: Michel Germany catalog 1999/2000, page 183). Since November 20, 1947, the French currency was 1 Franc = 100 centimes on the Saarland stamps. the editorial board therefore records the nominal values from catalog number 226 in centimes.
