On the occasion of the International Saarmesse 1959, the German Federal Post Saarland issued on 1 April 1959 a special postage stamp. Shown are stylized hands and the logo of the Saarmesse. Since November 20, 1947, the French currency was 1 Franc = 100 centimes on the Saarland stamps. the editorial board therefore records the nominal values from catalog number 226 in centimes.
