"The Gruffalo" (1999) is the story of a mouse that knows how to defend itself against fox, owl and snake by inventing a monstrous protector. However, when the imaginary monster stands bodily in front of her and wants to eat her as well, the mouse goes through a powerful fright. However, she does not let herself get under it: she immediately has a new plan ready to save her fur this time. Packed in suspense, horror and humor as well as clear, detailed drawings with radiant, rich colors, the fabulous story in rhyme format conveys important messages that can contribute to the personality development of a child. In life, for example, it is unimportant how big or strong you are; instead, it is important to face challenges bravely, cleverly and with a lot of self-confidence and imagination. The creators of the worldwide successful children's book are the Hamburg illustrator Axel Scheffler and the London author Julia Donaldson. Self-adhesive, smaller than the gummed version, available as set of 10.
