To support the tasks of the Free Welfare. This year, the charity stamps are dedicated to the topic "Endangered plants". Of the most well-known large-flowered field-weeds the Kornrade (Agrostemma githago) had to accept the strongest decrease. While it was found only a few decades ago in almost every winter grape-throats from the plain to the mountains and was found in every field bouquet, they are today in vain searching for almost all of Germany. Due to the mechanical cleaning of the grain seeds and the intensified tillage, but above all because of the use of chemical weed killers, the pretty summer flower has been almost completely eradicated today.
