The "Pinzgauer Lokalbahn" was opened on January 2, 1898 after only one year of construction. The starting point of the 54 km long railway line is Zell am See, the end point of the route is the Krimml, which is known by the waterfalls. Since the nineties, increasing numbers of vehicles have been registered for the narrow-gauge railway, and this positive trend can be continued through good, customer-oriented transport concepts. This is also helped by sensible investments, for example in soft new installations and track renewal, as well as in environmental protection measures.
