Football - the most beautiful trivial thing in the world - is the focus of this special issue, with which Swiss Post congratulates Swiss Post on the 100th anniversary of the Austrian Championship in a charming way. History: The year was 1911, when under the title "First Class" for the first time a football championship in Austria was held. Until the 1949/50 season, however, this league was led to the exclusion of teams outside Vienna and Lower Austria, which is why only since this season, a total of Austrian football league exists. It is interesting that the "Bundesliga" changed its name several times over the years - this usually took place with a change of the existing game system. Founding name was, as mentioned, "First Class", which with the introduction of professional football in 1924 in "I. League "was changed. 1936 came with the transition to a semi-professional mode in favor of the provincial teams renamed "National League". During the Second World War, the league was not abandoned by the Nazis, but renamed several times. After the war, the ÖFB initially decided to simply name "League", which was changed after the formation of "League B" as a substructure in "League A" - usually transformed into "A-League". Further reforms brought new names, in 1965 the "National League" and in 1974 the "Bundesliga". However, the initially deliberately made reference to the German league was, however, two years later as "1. Division "again restricted. Only since a renewed reform in 1993 is the league again "Bundesliga". In 1997, the Bundesliga received its first sponsor name - the mobile communications company "max.mobil" gave it the new name. After the takeover of the group by Deutsche Telekom in 2003, the games were officially held under the title "T-Mobile Bundesliga". The originally sponsored to 3.5 million euros per year sponsorship agreement was 2005 slightly reduced, this was associated with a ban on advertising of other mobile operators as club sponsors. Since the 2008/09 season, the betting company "tipp3" joined together with "T-Mobile Austria" in a new cooperation agreement. This means that the Bundesliga, including sponsor names, since the 2008/09 season officially titled "tipp3-Bundesliga powered by T-Mobile". The following clubs currently belong to the highest Austrian football class: SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz, FC Red Bull Salzburg, FK Austria Vienna, SV Josko Ried and SK Rapid Wien, FC Wacker Innsbruck, SC Magna Wiener Neustadt, KSV Superfund, SV Mattersburg and FC Trenkwalder Admira Wacker Mödling.
