The brand commemorates the 1,000th anniversary of the venerable city named for the first time in a document from 956, with its important architectural monuments and rich cultural treasures. The theme was the use of a typical section of the medieval cityscape with its characteristic individual forms. The task was to incorporate such a representation in the area of the brand, without falling into the error of a naturalistic "image". It seemed most clearly and convincingly solved in the selected design, because here the architectural elements are reproduced with accuracy and yet the essence of the "brand" has been preserved: strict simplification and clear organization of the surface without spatial illusion.
