Holiday Block and other Special Postage Stamps for the 20th Anniversary of the German Democratic Republic On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the German Democratic Republic, the Ministry of Postal and Telecommunications of the GDR issues a multi-colored holiday block and other multicolored postage stamps. TV and VHF tower of the Deutsche Post Berlin - capital of the GDR The television and VHF tower Berlin is handed over by the German Post for the 20th anniversary of the German Democratic Republic. This impressive structure announces the political, economic and cultural successes of the first German workers and peasants state. The TV and VHF tower meets all conditions for a more favorable supply of the population with the VHF radio and television programs as well as for the function of a high-performance radio network. In the specially designed floors of the first trained as a ball tower head extensive modern broadcasting equipment and transmission systems are installed, which broadcast the programs of the German Television and the German Democratic Radio Radio GDR, Berliner Rundfunk, Berliner Welle and Deutschlandsender for the supply network Berlin and also forward to the broadcasters of the various network levels of Deutsche Post. The transmission systems also allow the simultaneous transmission of other telecommunications information such as long distance calls from Berlin to the districts of the German Democratic Republic and vice versa. Specialist construction specialists of the German Democratic Republic, under the direction of the German Broadcasting and Telecommunication Technical Office of Deutsche Post, designed this tenisch complicated building and erected it in a short time from August 1965 to December 1968. Commissioning of the transmitters and transmission equipment was a task assigned to the scientists and engineers of Deutsche Post, which was completed in less than three years in cooperation with various scientific institutions and industrial companies in the German Democratic Republic. In socialist community work, all working people involved in the construction of the TV and TV tower in Berlin have performed excellently in excellent quality. The television and VHF tower, which has been integrated directly into the newly established center of Berlin, has become an outstanding landmark of the capital of the German Democratic Republic. Moreover, its tower café and its vantage point make it a new, particularly attractive attraction for all inhabitants and guests of the socialist capital.
