Meeting of the Standing Commission for Posts and Telecommunications of the CMEA For the 25th session of the Standing Committee for Posts and Telecommunications of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues a multicolored special postage stamp. No special First Day Cover Special cancellation from 8 May to 7 July 25th session of the CMO Permanent Commission for Cooperation in the Field of Posts and Telecommunications The relations between CMEA member countries have been and will be in all areas of political, economic and cultural Life is always close. With the elaboration of the "Comprehensive program for the further deepening and improvement of cooperation and development of the socialist economic integration of CMEA member states" in the years 1970/71, the need for ever closer cooperation in the development of an efficient intelligence system became even more visible. On the basis of this realization met in 1970 on the initiative of the representative of Czechoslovakia in the Executive Committee of the CMEA, the Ministers of Posts and Telecommunications of the members of the CMEA in Prague and submitted the XXV. Council proposal to create a body for closer cooperation in the field of communications. In addition to the adoption of the aforementioned complex program, the XXV. Council of 29 July 1971, the creation of the Standing Commission of the CMEA for Posts and Telecommunications. According to the Statute of the Commission, its main tasks include: - making more effective use of the basic funds provided by Member States for the development of the international telecommunications and postal networks, in particular the creation of the interconnected automated complex communications system (WAKSS) of CMEA member countries Transmission of all types of information as well as the mechanization and automation of business processes in the postal and telecommunications sector; - carrying out work on plan coordination in the creation of the WAKSS; - the organization of close multilateral scientific and technical cooperation between member countries on important problems of scientific and technical progress. The work of the Standing Commission for Postal and Telecommunications (PCF) is carried out by all member states of the CMEA - People's Republic of Bulgaria, German Democratic Republic, Republic of Cuba, Mongolian People's Republic, People's Republic of Poland, Socialist Republic of Romania, Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, Hungarian People's Republic, Union of Socialist Soviet republics and Socialist Republic of Vietnam - part. Since the 6th Commission meeting, a delegation of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia has participated in the work of the PCF on the basis of the agreement concluded between the Government of the SFRY and the governments of the members of the CMEA. In the 13 years since the Commission was established, the 24 sessions have been held in Sofia; Berlin and Karl Marx City; Havana; Ulan Bator; Warsaw; Predeal (SRR); Prague and Brno; Budapest and Dobogokö; Moscow, Kiev and Kishinov and Dubrovnik. At the 25th session, the Polish delegation to the Commission invited to Krakow at the end of May. A number of news organizations of the CMEA countries are using the occasion of the 25th session of their commission to issue a special postage stamp. The GDR mark therefore refers to the 25th session of the Standing Commission on Posts and Telecommunications of the CMEA, the landmark of the CMEA - the secretariat building of the Council in Moscow - and elements of the postal, telecommunications and radio systems.
