There are no lean years at Ottfried Fischer, he is big on business, especially as an actor - but also as a cabaret artist. He has played with several series stars in the hearts of television viewers. Born on November 7, 1953 in Ornatsöd in the Bavarian Forest (near the border to the Austrian Mühlviertel) Ottfried Fischer grew up on his father's farm, was at boarding school in Fürstenzell monastery near Passau and then studied law in Munich. After just a few semesters, he quit his studies in favor of the boards that mean the world. In 1978 he founded the cabaret "Machtschattengewächse" in Munich's backyard theater with some friends and from then on worked mainly as a cabaret artist. Together with the satirist Jockel Tschiersch he celebrated further successes in the Munich "Wirtshaus am Hart" in the 80s. For this there was the international award of the German-speaking radio stations in Europe in 1985, the "Salzburger Taurus" and in 1986 the "Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis". Since 1989, Ottfried Fischer has also appeared in solo programs ("Hard is easy!" / "WHAT TO DO"). In the mid-90s he got his own TV show with the cabaret "Ottis Schlachthof". He still hosts this program on Bayerischer Fernsehen, interviews artists and cabaret artists and gives many young comedians a first chance to watch TV. By director Franz Xaver Bogner Ottfried Fischer came to his first TV starring role - in the Bavarian cult series "somehow and anyway" (1986). With the SAT1 series "A Bayer auf Rügen" (from 1993) he managed the leap beyond the borders of Bavaria. In it he played together with his compatriot Wolfgang Fierek long and successful. In 1995, the series "Der Bulle von Tölz" was launched. This made Ottfried Fischer one of the most successful television commissioners. If he identifies as Benno Berghammer, the odds rise, even at the fourth iteration. Since then, he has always been a bit of a cop, whether as a reporter in the series "Der Pfundskerl" or as "Pfarrer Braun" - always the respective task connects him with the criminal hunt. Ottfried Fischer is married and has two daughters. He lives today in Gauting near Munich. Every year he is a guest of honor at the Munich Meadow Festival in the Hacker Marquee.
