Utility and Working Dogs The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues six multicolored special postage stamps with pictures of utility and working dogs. Service and Working Dogs 70 Pfennig Value: Great Dane Since the 17th century, we have been able to prove the breeding of this largest of our breeds. At first she was considered to be hunting, for which she seemed to be particularly well-suited, thanks to her well-balanced nature. She is an excellent guardian and companion, but also a devoted and reliable companion in the family, but her size (up to 92 cm shoulder height) places special demands on her owner. It is not unusual for dog lovers to find dog friends who are especially attracted to their noble form. For the city, however, this breed is not.
