1972 International Rose Exhibition in the GDR At the 1972 International Rose Exhibition in the GDR, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued six multicolored special postage stamps depicting various rose varieties. The intensive and successful breeding work of the last years in our republic is the reason to publish a stamp series for the International Rose Exhibition 1972, which presents six of the best rose varieties in the GDR. 20 Pfennig-Wert- Izetka Spreeathen "lzetka Spreeathen" is a new breed of the horticulture section of the Humboldt University of Berlin, Department of Ornamental Plant Production, Berlin-Köpenick. This tea hybrid has a bright red color. By the upright growth and the Reichblütigkeit it is particularly suitable as a group variety. Their height is 80 to 100 cm.
