SOZPHILEX 77 In preparation for the stamp exhibition of socialist countries in 1977 "SOZPHILEX 77", the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued a special postage stamp with a surcharge. Corresponding to this occasion, the focus will be on a thematic class whose exhibits document the victorious struggles of real socialism since 1917, the development of the first socialist state of the earth, the Soviet Union, the emergence of the socialist world system, the successes of the international labor movement to report on the national and social liberation struggles of the peoples as well as the growing strength of the world peace movement. Thus, with philatelic means and possibilities, this exhibition will at the same time prove the triumph of Marxism / Leninism and the change of the balance of power in the world in favor of peace, democracy and progress. In addition, it is planned to show, above all, exhibits from national, special and research collections with evidence from the USSR, the GDR and the other socialist states. But also exhibits of a motivic and thematic nature, which are not dedicated to the theme of the exhibition, as well as exhibits with evidence of non-socialist states should be shown to offer a wide range of philatelic possibilities and a rounded overall picture of the cultural-political effectiveness of a modern, partisan socialist To give philately. The first special stamp of Deutsche Post of the GDR for the creation of the SOZPHILEX 77 is intended to promote this exhibition.
