Leipziger Herbstmesse 1976 At the Leipzig Autumn Fair in 1976, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues two multicolored special postage stamps. Leipzig Autumn Fair 1976 10-pfennig value: Plant for primary petroleum processing AWT 6 In the documents of the IX. The party conference of the SED is repeatedly referred to the responsibility of the chemical plant construction of the GDR for the long-term security of the raw material and fuel consumption of our economy. Accordingly, by 1980, the production growth rates of the five VVB chemical plants are above the average for other industries. In addition, in addition to satisfying the needs of our chemical industry, we emphasize the orientation of the export range to the needs of the Soviet Union. It is reflected in the range of exhibits in Hall 6, including the ELOU-AWT 6 petroleum distillation plant from the chemical plant construction group VEB Maschinen- und Apparatebau Grimma. Its throughput capacity is six million tonnes of crude oil annually, which is processed into kerosene (aviation gasoline), gasoline, diesel and heating oil as well as lubricating oils. The system parts - u.a. Desalination, atmospheric and vacuum distillation and gasoline distillation - are largely standardized and connectable to a process computer. The use of air coolers instead of water cooling in different process stages ensures a high level of environmental friendliness. In 1972, the delivery of six complete plants was agreed with the Soviet partner, the first three were built in Moscow, Ufa and Baku, and later this year deliveries for the remaining three will be completed. The long-term trade agreement between 1976 and 1980 concluded with the Soviet Union at the end of 1975 provides for the supply of additional petroleum distillation plants of this type. As a result, VEB Maschinen- und Apparatebau Grimma has secured a long-term stable production program. The scope of the work, starting with the contract design for supplies from other industries to assembly is clear in some numbers: each plant requires 9,400 tonnes of equipment, the distillation columns are up to 330 tons and 55 meters high, about 70 km of pipelines 75 pumps are installed per system. Building on the experience gained during the development, production and assembly of the six million-tonne turbines for the Soviet Union, a plant with an annual throughput of 4.5 million tons was designed by Grimmaer Chemieanlagenbaukombinat in the current five-year plan at the Leuna Works "Walter Ulbricht" ,
