Meissen Porcelain With a selection of motifs from the historical and current production of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic publishes two multi-colored se-tenants, each with four special postage stamps. No special first-day cover envelope 35-pfennig value: Harlequin with lidded jug Shape: Johann Joachim Kaendler, 1738 Known throughout the whole of Europe in the 18th century, the Italian comedy - mostly derb-sensuous folk pieces - was a time-typical, powerful and artistic creation in Kaendler's creations unconventional implementation. Many figures of the "Italian Comedy" were made around 1738, a second revised version was made around 1764. As a colleague Kaendlers applies Peter Reinicke.
