Leipziger Herbstmesse 1981 At the Leipzig Autumn Fair in 1981, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues two multicolored special postage stamps. Special cancellation from 18 August to 17 October 1981 Leipzig Autumn Fair 10 Pfennig value: Chemieanlagenbau Petroleum distillation plants belong to the export program of the VEB chemical plant construction combine Leipzig-Grimma, which are mainly intended for the USSR. For years, oil processing plants have been mass-produced and delivered on the basis of long-term contracts. Plants with a annual processing capacity of six million tonnes of crude oil are already proving their worth in Ufa, Moscow and Baku. They are examples of cooperation with Soviet experts and experts in GDR chemical plant construction. A total of twelve plants were previously delivered to the USSR. Also in series, 26 state-of-the-art crude oil processing plants were developed, mainly for the Tyumen region. The corresponding basic project was developed by Soviet scientists. The design solutions were developed in the parent company Grimma and in the chemical plant Leipzig. Almost 100 million tons of oil can be dehydrated, degassed, desalted and thus made transportable and processable every year, even at extreme Siberian weather conditions. These complexes are supplemented by associated gas drying plants from the Kombinatsbetrieb Fürstenwalde, of which over 100 have already been sent to Tyumen, Badschkirien, and the Caspian Sea. An interesting product of the chemical plant construction combine is also the joint development with the USSR, Polymir 50, a plant for the production of bulk plastic high-pressure polyethylene, of which some successfully work in Nowopolozk / Byelorussia and Leuna. In addition, the Combine offers a comprehensive range of equipment for petrochemistry, eg. B. for styrene production, caprolactam production, the fiber and plastic industry u.a. Chemical plants and equipment from the GDR are also supplied to numerous capitalist industrial countries and young nation states. So there are contracts with well-known BRD companies. Chemical plants go u. a. in North African countries. In addition to complete soda and sugar factories, this also includes petroleum equipment and tank farms for Mauritania. Licenses were sold in over ten countries. Among them "Performgrid packages" developed by the VEB Germania Karl-Marx-Stadt are high-performance internals for distillation columns, which will also be produced in the future by the companies J. G. C. Corporation in Japan and the Gutehoffnungshütte in Germany.
