Special cancellation from September 11 to November 10, 1984 35th anniversary of the founding of the German Democratic Republic "The emergence and growth of the GDR," it says in the appeal of the Central Committee of the SED, the State and Council of Ministers of the GDR and the National Council of the National Front of the GDR, "corresponds to the law of world history, which determines our epoch of the transition from capitalism to socialism." Of course, the growth and growth of our thirty-fifth republic is a continuous process in which certain caesura marks the transition to a new quality of development. There are historic highlights in this process, which, in their historical uniqueness, bring to light the qualitative essence of society as a whole. In its values of 10, 20 and 25 pfennigs, the present issue represents such striking events that at the same time characterize the fundamental processes of the GDR's existence and development. After several attempts to "roll back" socialism failed, efforts were made to occupy the GDR and eliminate socialism via the open border with West Berlin. The value of 20 pfennig commemorates August 13, 1961, where securing the state border succeeded in preserving peace in Europe and saving the world from a new war. At the same time, August 13, 1961, made it clear that socialism must never lose its watchfulness to imperialism, that the universally secure protection of socialism is the fundamental precondition for social progress and peace. This is particularly true of the present, where the most aggressive imperialist forces are pursuing a policy of upgrading and preparing for nuclear war against socialism - and objectively against humanity. The symbolically symbolizes cooperation with the Soviet brothers-in-arms and comrades. Today, more than ever, the securing of peace and of our socialist development is a necessity for solidarity within the framework of coordinated socialist foreign and military policy. The all-round fraternal bond with the Soviet Union is a guarantee that peace in the world can be preserved.
