The idea of realizing a place of musical high culture between old farmhouses in the center of a 2000-soul community in the middle of the Bavarian Forest was initially ridiculed. But who dares, wins: Today, the idyllic Blaibach concert and cultural center attracts world-class interpreters and thus music lovers from home and abroad. The decisive factor here is a radically modern architecture, which not only gives the building artist a sense of euphoria, but also ensures a unique acoustics. Responsible for the tilted granite and concrete cube is the award-winning Munich architect Peter Haimerl. On September 12, 2014, the Blaibach Concert and Culture House was inaugurated on time and cost-effectively. Since then, the building has provided space for concerts, cultural events and exhibitions. Thomas Eduard Bauer, East-Bavarian baritone, international singer and initiator as director of the Konzerthaus, voluntarily organizes a high-caliber, predominantly classical music program, thus ensuring a sold-out hall.
