In the period from 6 to 9 June 1995, the 79th session of the Council of Ministers of the European Conference of Transport Ministers took place in the Congress Center of the Hofburg in Vienna. The difficulties of Europe's economic development after the Second World War made it necessary to plan and work in a coordinated manner in the transport sector as well. Therefore, on 17 June 1953, under the aegis of the OECD, the founding of the European Conference of Transport Ministers was decided. It consists of a council of transport ministers and a committee of deputies and is considered as a forum for the exchange of experience and experience in the search for optimal transport solutions in Europe.
