This organization promotes all important developments in the field of chemotherapy all over the world. For Austria, the congressional year 1983 was a double anniversary. On the one hand, oral penicillin was developed in Austria exactly 30 years ago, on the other hand, the Austrian Cancer Research Institute had started its work in Vienna.
