Days of Soviet Science and Technology in the GDR During the days of Soviet science and technology in the GDR, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued three multicolored special postage stamps. Days of Soviet Science and Technology in the GDR On October 29, 1973, the "Days of Soviet Science and Technology" begin in the GDR. Until 18 November 1973, domestic and foreign visitors will be able to convince themselves of the efficiency and high level of development of Soviet science and technology, giving experts and scientists the opportunity to present and exchange the latest findings in their fields of expertise. Of most interest to the public and the experts at the same time is the exhibition in the capital of the GDR Berlin in the Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle. Here, on nearly 11,000 square meters of exhibition space, top products of the Soviet economy will be on display, a range of exhibits ranging from synthetic diamonds, mechanical engineering and electronics to the mighty spacecraft "Soyuz" 2. 20-pfennig value: Map of the Soviet Union Borne by the ideas of Lenin's nationality policy, the leadership of the CPSU united the power of the Soviet peoples. Today 250 million people live in the USSR. The boundaries of this vast country encompass a territory of 22.4 million square kilometers. Since 1922, the founding year of the Soviet Union, the national income of the country increased a hundredfold, the USSR is the largest producer, among others. of coal, iron ore, diesel locomotives and turbines in the world. The gross production of agriculture has increased threefold since the victory of the Soviet power. For the first time in a country of the earth the general education became reality. 80.2 million people are currently studying or studying in the USSR. At the beginning of the ninth year, 65.3 percent of the working population in the country had technical, higher or upper secondary education. At the Twenty-ninth Party Congress of the CPSU the main task for the 9th Plan Five was set: "... a significant upswing of the material and cultural life of the people on the basis of a rapid pace of development of socialist production and the increase of its effectiveness, the scientific and technical Progress and accelerating growth in labor productivity ".
