On the motif is the cathedral of Zwiefalten. The building was a monastery church of a Benedictine monastery (founded in 1089) the community at the foot of the Swabian Alb. In the years 1741-1753, the cathedral was rebuilt in the style of the late Baroque. With one of the largest churches in Germany, splendid ceiling frescoes and noble stucco, the church is still impressive today. After a complex renovation in the years 1975 to 1984, the building is a popular tourist destination. The catalog numbers 1 to 3, 5 to 7, 10, 12 and 13 appeared in August and September 1947 or in January and February 1948. For the sake of systematics, the editorial board records the first day of each month as the first day of issue.
