In the context of the technological changes of recent decades, the position of working people has changed radically. New, wider workloads requiring higher quality training contributed to this, as did the considerable increase in agricultural and industrial productivity. The social attitudes have also changed. A smooth interaction of all forces - both employers and employees - today provides a solid foundation for a humane working environment. The voice of the employee representatives, enshrined in the constitutional law, is a successful Austrian way of resolving conflicts, which has proven itself many times in the past. The Austrian employees are assisted by two interest groups, the Chamber of Labor and the Trade Union, in the event of a labor dispute with the employer. With the worldwide unique instrument of social partnership, which consists of representatives of the Workers' Day, the Austrian Trade Union Confederation, the Federal Chamber of Commerce and the Chambers of Agriculture, conflicts in the wage, labor or social sector could usually be resolved in advance. The resulting social peace contributed significantly to the prosperity of the country. The brand image depicts a steelworker, symbolizing a workspace that has been particularly exposed to change in recent decades.
