The brand image shows an office worker in front of a computer screen. In 1986, there were 1,139,707 women out of a total of 2,780,204 employed persons in Austria, or 41% of all employees. This represents the highest percentage of employed women ever reached in the Second Republic. Office nationalization had a particular impact on the working conditions of women. Thus, a survey of workers on workloads and health problems in Linz showed interesting results. For more than 70% of those surveyed, the pace of work had increased in the last five years from "strong" to "very strong". More than half felt physical and mental stress through their work. This survey already shows the intensified development in the labor market, which is expressed today in high unemployment rates throughout Europe and, above all, leads to an often life-threatening life situation for women.
