Romuald and his friend Günni hid and locked themselves in the museum. At night, among other things, they look at a famous painting by the artist Franz Marc (1880-1916). One of the blue horses painted on it suddenly comes to life and takes the two children and the museum rat Jenny on a short trip through the sky above the city. They manage to get back to the museum at dawn before the cleaning ladies can miss the absent horse. The motif of the blue horse is typical of the German painter Franz Marc, one of the most important artists of the 20th century and co-founder of the artists' association "Blauer Reiter". In his pictures animals are often found as motif again. In particular, the artist used color as a means of expressing the purity and beauty of the animals in a particularly effective way. Since 1993, the special stamp series »For Us Kids« has been offering a postage stamp every year that shows children's motifs. The stamps are as imaginative as imaginative. Anyone - whether a child or an adult - can come up with stories when looking at the motifs, in which the colorful figures play a major role.
