Stamps Lombardy-Veneto: The areas of Lombardy & Veneto were handed over to Austria after the fall of Napoleon in 1814 and were subordinated as a separate kingdom of the Habsburg monarchy. The Emperor of Austria was also king of Lombardy-Veneto. For the Kingdom own stamps were issued in the area of Lombardy until 1858 and Veneto until 1866. The stamps corresponded to the expenditure of Austria, but differed in the currency Centesimi or Lira.
