For the twelfth time, Germany is standing in front of the community, representing it for six months internally and externally and organizing and leading the coordination with the European partners. Germany then has the role of a source of inspiration. The German Presidency will hold consultations on the question of the future of the Union and decisions on how to continue the European constitutional process. The 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome coincides with the German Presidency. They were the basis for the European Economic Community and the later European Union.
