Significant theatrical productions by Bertolt Brecht, Walter Felsenstein and Wolfgang Langhoff The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic publishes three special postage stamps with illustrations from major theatrical productions by Bertolt Brecht, Walter Felsenstein and Wolfgang Langhoff. Important theatrical productions in the German Democratic Republic Brecht, Felsenstein and Langhoff are among the personalities who have in many ways revolutionized German theater. They are three of the "first hour" and have dedicated their artistic work to the political and cultural renewal of life in Germany since 1945. At various sites they have in their work as a theater director, playwright, director and actor the socialist theater in the German Democratic Republic Not least of all, they have helped the theater of the GDR to gain international recognition with numerous guest appearances by their ensembles around the world. "25-pfennig value: Walter Felsenstein (born 1901) In December 1972, the world-famous comic headed by Walter Felsenstein celebrated its anniversary This means a quarter of a century of creative experimentation and application of the methods of realistic musical theater, as founded by Felsenstein, with the fulfillment of his demand that in music theater "a musical action with a singing Me "must become theatrical reality and unconditional credibility" (Walter Felsenstein), at the same time the break with late-bourgeois distortions of the opera combined. Under his leadership, the Komische Oper became a real folk theater and an opera house celebrated throughout the world. Among the most beautiful and poetic opera performances in the repertoire of the Komische Oper is "Midsummer Night's Dream" by Benjamin Britten. As in a spectrum, the art of director Felsenstein is brought together in this production. Fairytale poetry and comic rudeness permeate each other and cast a spell on the audience in the dream play of Shakespeare. Especially in this production, the breadth and diversity underlying the musical theater concept of Felsenstein becomes clear.
