Invincible Vietnam (1969 Edition) In support of the heroic struggle of the Vietnamese people, another multi-color special postage stamp with surcharge is issued. The amount collected will be made available to the Vietnam Committee of the Afro-Asian Solidarity Committee in the German Democratic Republic. Invincible Vietnam The Vietnamese people move forward on their heavy, sacrificial path of liberation and defensive struggle to the final victory over the USA aggressors and their helpers. In 1968, heroic Vietnam achieved unprecedented success on the military, political and diplomatic front of the struggle against foreign aggressors. Supported by a solidarity movement unprecedented in history, uniting more and more in common action on all continents the followers of peace, progress, democracy and socialism, the Vietnamese people could in fact condemn the United States of America for failing to admit failure force their genocidal policy in Southeast Asia. It had to unconditionally stop its war on the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and recognize the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam as a negotiating partner in the Paris peace talks. The Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Central Committee of the FNI have expressed the determination of the entire Vietnamese people not to tolerate the shadow of an aggressor either in the north or in the south of Vietnam. Our brother people in Southeast Asia love peace wholeheartedly, but this peace must be free of foreign rule, terror and inhumanity, it must be born in freedom and independence. Nor can the women and men of Vietnam put down their arms, nor is the lives of their children and families threatened with the destruction of US imperialism. There is therefore good reason to further strengthen solidarity with Vietnam and to mobill even more forces for the fight against the USA aggressors and their West German allies. Also, the new special postage stamp "Invincible Vietnam" may be considered in this sense as a reminder, as an appeal. In its design, it symbolizes the insuperable will to live of a people that has embarked on a path of anti-imperialist liberation in a unanimous fighting community. The government and people of the German Democratic Republic are faithful companions of Vietnam in this bitter dispute. This is proven by millions of proofs of social and personal participation in political, moral and material solidarity in support of his just struggle. Many citizens of our country have long been using the opportunity to increase the acts of solidarity for the Vietnamese people by acquiring Vietnam's special stamps. They use them for domestic and foreign postal traffic, they keep them as documents of a historically significant stage in the joint fight against the aggression policy of American and West German imperialism, they donate penny for penny and finally large sums of money to increase material assistance for Vietnam , The donation result from this permanent action of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the GDR is already 800,000 marks (1966 to 1968). The new stamp of solidarity with the Vietnamese people blends convincingly and very effectively into the grand mosaic of the variety of daily evidence of the solidarity of our people with the just cause of Vietnam.
