Leipziger Spring Fair 1969 At the Leipzig Spring Fair 1969, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued two multicolored special postage stamps. Top products of the GDR On the special stamps for the Leipziger spring fair 1969 again top products from the national industry were selected as motives. The Planeta-Variant is an automated 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 5- or 6-color offset machine in aggregate construction. As a result, it can also be extended later. To display on the 15-pfennig value, a 2-color planeta was selected. From the main control station, all control operations can be triggered by push buttons on a central control panel. At start-up, it is sufficient to start the sheet feed on the feeder at the main control station. All other switching operations, including the connection of each individual printing unit, take place automatically as the sheet passes. Numerous control devices monitor the sheet travel. The self-supporting nonstop sheet feeder can be loaded from three sides. Pile change is possible at full run of the machine. Thanks to patented pneumatic sheet infeed, the system works flawlessly even at the highest speeds and with unfavorable material. Four inking rollers with different diameters ensure that the printing plates are evenly colored. The box construction of the side walls ensures that all drive parts are shielded against oil and dust. The lubrication is done by sprinkling with oil, which constantly circulates and is cleaned by magnetic filter. The machine has a patented synchronized drive that allows great register accuracy. The height is very low, eliminating the need to climb stairs. The individual units arrive fully assembled in the printing house. The machine can be put into operation for a short time.
