Weapons Brotherhood 'For the' Weapons Brotherhood 'maneuver on the territory of the German Democratic Republic, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued two multicolored special postage stamps. Maneuver 'Brotherhood in Arms' On May 14, 1970, the fifteenth anniversary of the historic day was signed in Warsaw on the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance of the Socialist States of Europe. For the past fifteen years, the organization of the Warsaw Treaty has proved to be an international alliance of a new type, a new source of proletarian internationalism and socialist brotherhood in arms. The countries of the socio-political community of states associate the unity of the socialist and economic structure, the leadership of the Marxist-Leninist workers' parties, the commonality of the Marxist-Leninist ideology and the concurrence of their interests, goals and tasks. Thanks to the tireless efforts, especially of its main power, the Soviet Union, the socialist community of states is already decisively influencing the course of history; it has proved to be an insurmountable force in the international arena. The participating states of the Warsaw Treaty successfully develop the socialist society and create the foundations of communism. It is thanks to the superior power of the socialist coalition that Europe is currently living through the longest peacetime period of the century and making further progress towards European security. The Warsaw Treaty also integrates the armed forces of the participating States: the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the People's Republic of Poland, the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, the Hungarian People's Republic, the Socialist Republic of Romania, the People's Republic of Bulgaria and the German Democratic Republic. The Soviet Army and other fraternally united socialist forces have provided visible evidence of their fighting and preparedness over the past fifteen years. Thanks to the determined and at the same time prudent attitude of the socialist states and their armies dangerous international tension situations could be cleared up. The expression of proletarian internationalism and culmination of the ever closer military cooperation of the armies of the participating states of the Warsaw Treaty were the joint exercises and maneuvers. Such maneuvers as 'Quartet', 'Oktobersturm', 'Moldau' and 'Oder-Neisse' demonstrated the military superiority of the socialist military coalition and strengthened the class and weapons alliance of participating factions and troop units. In the fall of 1970, the maneuver 'Waffenbrüderschaft' takes place on the soil of the German Democratic Republic. The participating units and troop units of the brother armies will testify that the military protection of the socialist German Democratic Republic is at the heart of every socialist brother in arms. The states and armies of the Warsaw Treaty will never tolerate a situation that endangers the vital interests of the socialist community or the existence of the socialist order of a state. The training units and troop units will demonstrate by the maneuvering performances the common fighting force, the consistency of the military policy objectives and the state of military cooperation. The Weapon Brotherhood maneuver will demonstrate the determination of the armies of the socialist states of Europe, the plans of the imperialist global strategists are doomed to failure. The maneuver is therefore under the slogan: 'Class brothers - brothers in arms - united invincible! No chance for the enemy! '
