In June, one of the most popular animated characters in recent cinema history, the green ogre Shrek, returns to the screens. The Austrian Post AG accompanies the amiable animation heroes with their own special stamp - and this will not only give the children, but all the young at heart joy! The content of the film: When Shrek married his beloved Fiona - after he had rescued her from the clutches of the dragon -, he wanted to be anything but king. But when his father-in-law, in which the ogre from the swamp in the second part had to master a difficult courtesy visit, dies, he must - well or wrong! Unless, of course, he'll find a worthy replacement: then he and his beloved Fiona could return to the swamp and lead an evil life. Together with the donkey and the Puss in Boots (who in the third adventure again has the cutest look in the world), Shrek goes in search of King Arthur, the cousin Fionas, who in his place on the kingdom "Far Far away" while Fiona is dealing with the treacherous machinations of Prince Charming. Nothing is spared in the latest story of the green adventure - from the Round Table to the Grail, from Merlin to Rapunzel and from Snow White to Captain Hook everything is taken on the shovel, which is not nailed down. Not to mention the evil witch, eerie tree creatures and the Rumpelstilzchen ... The figures behind the film production, however, are gigantic: More than a million working hours worked a 350-member team to breathe life into the story. A small example illustrates the effort behind the realization of this fairytale: over 130,000 individual pictures and about 4,500 different costumes were designed in months of detail-loving creative work! Twenty-three fairytale and fantasy figures accompany the grand entrance of "Shrek III", in addition to dwarfs, evil trees, witches, knights and pirates. In the original version, well-known actors such as Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas and Julie Andrews, but also pop star Justin Timberlake have given the computer-animated characters their unmistakable voice.
