Our domestic cat probably comes from Egypt, from where it became widespread due to the heavy trade that was plowed almost all the time in the Mediterranean. She came u.a. also to China, where she mixed with the original cat living there. For centuries, she lived with people in a meaningful community of convenience. Eventually, the cat was able to protect people's supplies from the prevalence of rats and mice. In the Middle Ages, the cat was brought near the devil by the superstition prevalent at that time, brutally tortured and killed. It is unbelievable that even today there are sects that impressively warn against black cats with shining eyes. Apparently, their self-willedness, creeping, sometimes bright eyes seduces them to believe they are devilish. Today, cats do not only live in the countryside and go after their "ancestral occupation", the mouse catching, but also in townhouses where they like to be kept clean and ready to play. The cat king brand was designed by cartoonist Manfred Deix. Deix, born on 22.2.49 in St. Pölten, claims to have "moved to Vienna in 1970 and took 2 cats into the household". In 1986 he writes in "My Diary" of a cat stock of 39 pieces, today it should be more than a hundred! Robert Trsek got the brand name.
