Philatelist Congress and IBRA, Munich 1973 - Germany / Federal Republic of Germany 1973 - 70 Pfennig

The Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP), the umbrella organization of the national stamp collecting societies of many countries of the world, has designated the Federal Republic of Germany as the venue for its annual conference in London in September 1970 in London and the Bund Deutscher Philatelisten eV (BDPh) an international conference Stamp exhibition granted in Germany. Philately in Germany is organisationally supported by the Bund Deutscher Philatelisten e.V., a federal association with around 60,000 registered members in nearly 800 clubs throughout Germany. The German philatelists were already hosting and hosting international stamp exhibitions in 1930 and 1959. Unforgettable was the IPOSTA 1930 in Berlin and in 1959 the INTERPOSTA in Hamburg, which after the Second World War illustrated the integration of the Bund Deutscher Philatelisten into the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie. The Bund Deutscher Philatelisten works closely with the Deutsche Bundespost and has good contacts to the Bundesverband des deutschen Stampmarkenhandels. The federal government is supported by 10 state associations and around 800 local associations, where they collect their "philatelic home" as a collector.
