Lower Austria in particular, the industrial heart of Austria, was called to deal with the history and importance of industry in the course of a national exhibition. Because in addition to Vorarlberg and Upper Austria, Lower Austria has the highest share of the industrial-commercial sector. The industry, its history and culture, were therefore the subject of the Lower Austrian Provincial Exhibition from 29 April to the end of October 1989 in the so-called "old cloth factory" in Pottenstein. Under the title "Magic of Industry" she gave an overview of the fascination and dangers of one of the most important developments in human history, industrialization. The brand image shows a standing steam engine of the k.k. state-authorized metal-machinery factory "of the Vinzenz Prick, Vienna (c. 1850).
