In front of a side front of the Technical Museum in Vienna on the outer Mariahilferstraße stood for decades some locomotives in the open, which could not be moved there. Because they wanted to use the area differently and offered themselves as a better storage place the heating house Strasshof, to the north of Vienna, the machines were moved there. A particularly interesting example of the steam locomotives is the "109.13", a Prossy construction from Wiener Neustadt, which was built in 1912 for the southern runway in the type 2C h2 (V / max 90 km / h with a capacity of 1320 PSI, a boiler pressure of 13 kg / cm2 and a service weight of 107 t). After a major improvement and a - as far as possible - transfer to its original state, could the huge Dampfross, with which at that time the travel time Vienna-Trieste could be shortened by a considerable 3 hours, fully put into service. Unfortunately, in October 1997, material fatigue was noted on the boiler, so that the locomotive had to be turned off again. Currently it is under repair in the Czech Republic. It should be ready to drive again until the first day of the brand, which is becoming increasingly unlikely. Therefore one wants to show a locomotive of the same type from Hungary. The Austrian tramway u. In Strasshof, the railway club not only looks after a listed building, but strives to redevelop and revitalize the state railway collection from its own resources.
