Thus, the Federal Assembly on 12 December 1889, the size ratios of the Swiss coat of arms. The arms of the Swiss cross are therefore by no means square. Under the motto "Use heritage - donate future", it collects funds for the care of Switzerland's cultural heritage through stamps with tax surcharges. The Bernese designer Max Henschel has staged the proportions of the cross and the flag in the hand-drawn 100 + 50 mark symbolizing the heritage.
