The issue of special stamps with surcharges in favor of the »Stiftung Deutsche Sporthilfe«, whose patron is the Federal President, is to help the social tasks and tasks of the foundation in all areas of sport. The sports brands are dedicated to outstanding sporting events and sports this year. This many centuries old sport is operated on four types of track (asphalt, screed, scissors and bowling lanes) as a competitive sport. It can equally be considered as one of the largest and most popular folk sports. Millions of people in the Federal Republic of Germany cultivate their sociable bowling / bowling as well as with the highest physical effort to fight the sports bowler / bowler championship honors. The German Keglerbund e.V. (DKB), which can look back on its 100th anniversary in 1985, is primarily responsible for the sports activities of the performance-oriented athletes organized in 13 national associations and has been conducting national championship competitions since 1886. The DKB is one of 70 member nations of the international bowling federation, the Fédération Internationale des Ouilleurs (FIQ), which has been recognized by the IOC as an Olympic Sports Federation since 1979 and hosts the World and Continental Championships. But not only the approximately 230,000 athletic playing members of the DKB is the attention of the Association. Regular recreational championships at all levels deepen the contacts with the socialite bowlers and bowlers as well as all conceivable leisure organizations. The traditional folk sports thoughts of bowling and the demands of modern leisure sports are taken into account.
