The apparent simplicity of the muted Tux costume is punctuated by fine and intricately crafted details that are often seen only at second glance - such as the single-color embroidered satchel, which is decorated in the original with quill embroidery. These harnesses, which were originally worn by farmers as protection against saber strokes, are today made in a few craft workshops with real peacock feathers and great craftsmanship. From the loden won by the Tyrolean Steinschaf a light gray jacket is sewn, the so-called "Tuxer". The gentlemen's everyday garb includes coarse linen knee breeches, a woolen breast patch, white knee socks, black shoes, a white shirt with a stand-up collar and a narrow black tie. The headdress is a dark felt hat. The "Röckl", the women's holiday costume, features a colorful apron and a white cloth, the ornate hat with gold tassels and the square décolleté, in which an embroidered white silk scarf is worn. The noble fabrics and the fine workmanship make this costume very expensive, which is why it used to be handed down from generation to generation. Among the basic elements of the everyday costume is a dark bodice under which a mostly long-sleeved linen blouse with puffed sleeves is worn due to the fresh temperatures in the Tyrolean Alps. A skirt made of woolen or silk is tied to the skirt, which is usually set high at the waist, and the type of binding of the bow reveals the marital status of its wearer.
