As the first world exhibition in Germany, the EXPO 2000 attracts 2,000,000 visitors from all over the world to the capital of Lower Saxony, Hanover, from 1 June to 31 October. Oriented on the guiding theme of "People - Nature - Technology", the EXPO, as the host of 190 participating nations, wants to be more than just a showcase of industrial excellence. It aims to provide a forum for encounter, presentation and discussion. The EXPO concept consists of four components: the country presentation, the "Theme Park" theme park, the "Worldwide Projects" and a versatile cultural and events program.
